Summary
The available data on elastic K-nucleon reactions are analysed at high energy in terms of P, P′, ω, ρ and A2 Regge poles, together with associated cuts. The data include the recent measurements of the total cross-section at Serpukhov, new experiments on the polarization parameterP in K±p scattering and some very precise differential cross-sections. The phenomenological analysis extends from 4 GeV/c upwards, for ||<1.5 (GeV)2, and is extrapolated down to 2 GeV/c. Particular attention was paid to the part of the amplitude which has the quantum numbers of the ω. We imposed the constraintA′=vB on the P and P′ terms, as found from the continuous-moment sum rules. A reasonable fit is obtained for all the data, though the solutions possibly do not account for some very fine structures in the differential crosssections.
