Transition rates in level structure of doubly even ytterbium isotopes

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento A (1965-1970)

Summary

Calculations of fifty-six reduced transition probabilities,B(E2;I i +I f +) and (B(E2;I i +I f +)/B(E2; 2+→0+) ratios, in cascaded schemes of ground-state rotational band (k=0) for eight 160, 162, 164, 166, 170, 172, 174, 17670 Yb istopes are performed. The intrinsic and excited levels quadrupole moments are determined as well as the corresponding deformation parameters. The data of these exhibit the cigarshape for the rare-earth doubly ytterbium isotopes. The obtained results make clear that the realistic consideration of the introduced approach is recommended.
