Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils Aims and scope

Abstract

Natural gas is increasingly widely used in energetics and industry. In the world energy balance, its share was almost equal to petroleum’s. Explored gas reserves constitute 60 trillion m3, and 40% are in Russia and CIS countries. Gas chemistry processes using natural and associated petroleum gases to prepare practically important chemical compounds began to be developed intensively in the second half of the 20th century.
