Synalbumin insulin antagonism and protein synthesis

  • Published:
Acta diabetologia latina Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

Synalbumin extracts prepared from normal and diabetic plasma were examined for their capacity to antagonise insulin-promoted glycine-1-14C uptake and protein synthesis by rat diaphragm. Ten out of 12 diabetics showed significant antagonism as against 2 of 11 healthy volunteers.
