Abstract

Two methods are considered for correcting for scattered light in atomic fluorescence. The first uses the emission line broadening in a single hollow-cathode source together with the absorption in the high-frequency discharge within the quartz envelope. The second uses the differences in emission line width for the hollow-cathode lamp between the start and the end of the exciting current pulse.
