Abstract
Paraoxon is shown to reduce the density of M-choline receptors in the cortex of rat brain. Inhibition of3H-QNB is noncompetitive and reversible in nature. Sulfhydryl reagents do not affect this process. The mechanism of action of PO is thought to include direct effects on brain muscarine receptors.
