Abstract
New samples of ion-exchange membranes prepared from fibres were tested. The tested membranes were compared with MK-40 and MA-40 industrial membranes. It was found that the electrochemical properties of FA and FC membranes are no worse and on some indexes are better than MK-40 and MA-40 industrial membranes, but their geometric shapes and a number of technical indexes must be improved. The electrochemical properties of modifications of fibre anion-exchange membranes were investigated. It was shown that changing the conditions of synthesis does not result in optimization of the electrotransport properties. The materials obtained in this case have high conductivity and selectivity but are distinguished by high hydrophilicity, which makes it impossible to use them as separating membranes in electrodialysis but opens up broad opportunities for using them in ultrafiltration processes.
