Inhibition of isoprenaline-induced increase in plasma renin concentration by vasoconstrictors

Summary

The vasoconstrictors angiotensin II, vasopressin and the α-sympathominetic phenylephrine significantly inhibit the renin release caused by the β-sympathomimetic isoprenaline. The mechanism of the inhibition is discussed.
