Abstract
The preferred binding sites of RNase-S to dioxouranium(VI) and platinum(II) has been determined by Wyckoff et al. (1967a,b, 1970), elaborating protein and of heavy-atom derivatives reported by Wyckoff and coworkers. The major sites are exposed at the surface of the protein molecule and are not directly involved in the biological properties; the coordination geometry of the groups bound to the metal ions have been examined in comparison with model compounds.
