Summary
This report records procedures for the determination of microgram quantities of the six platinum metals. The methods will have application to the analysis of small crystals of the minerals of the platinum group, particularly iridosmines and to the analysis of the “insoluble” portion of assay buttons and beads.
The scheme incorporates several new methods of separation and makes use of a variety of the most suitable methods of determination. Variations in these methods have been introduced in order to increase their efficiency and to invite their use.
