Summary

Selenium traces in valleriite are known, but their actual position in the structure remains to be clarified. This has been attempted in this study, the complete valleriite-selenium valleriite solid solution series (with chalcopyrite and cubanite layers) were sythesized under hydrothermal conditions at 450°C and 1 kb pressure in collapsible gold tubes.
