Measurement Techniques Aims and scope

Conclusions

Investigations of the primary state standard for the unit of pressure carried out at the VNIIM have led to the following conclusions.

  1. 1.

The primary state standard of the unit of pressure, the pascal, ensures the reproduction and storing of the unit of pressure and the transfer of its dimension to the copy standard with a root-mean-square error of the order of 6 · 10−4% when the residual systematic error of 4 · 10−3% is eliminated.

  2. 2.

The above precision corresponds to the latest developments of science and technology and the level of world achievements.

German Ivanovich Polukhin MSc. was appointed scientific keeper of the reference standard by the State Committee of Standards attached to the USSR Council of Ministers.
