Conclusions

  1. 1.

It has been shown that it is possible to increase the yield of diethyldichlorosilane to 80% (with respect to the total products) by introducing into the contact mass zinc chloride as a promoter. The effect of this additive on the total and selective activity of the contact mass was investigated.

  2. 2.

The effect of metallic additives on the selective formation of ethyldichlorosilane was investigated. The addition of bismuth (in combination with ZnCl2) increases the ethyldichlorosilane content of the product mixture to 55%. The effect of the addition of calcium in different forms was also studied. The percentage yield of ethyldichlorosilane can be raised to 80% by adding silicon-calcium to the contact mass.
