Generation of powerful Alfvén waves due to explosive instability in a flow-plasma system

  • Published:
Radiophysics and Quantum Electronics Aims and scope

Abstract

The possible occurrence and stabilization of an explosive instability of Alfvén and sound waves in a flow-plasma system are analyzed. The conditions of mode energy synchronization are specified. It is shown that this system generates powerful magnetic-field pulses under certain conditions.
