Conclusions
-
1.
The direct electrochemical synthesis of fluorides of Tl in nonaqueous solvents in the presence of tetraalkylammonium fluoride polyhydrofluorides has been carried out.
-
2.
It has been shown that the anodic dissolution of thallium in a glass cell in the presence of a tetraalkylammonium fluoride polyhydrofluoride results in the formation of Tl2SiF6 and the previously unknown compound Tl3[SiF6]F.
-
3.
An x-ray structural investigation of the compound Tl3[SiF6]F has been carried out. It has been shown that the structure is built up from hexafluorosilicate anions (SiF6 2−), thallium cations (Tl+), and fluoride ions.
