Conclusions
-
1.
The comparison of the characteristic times of the kinetic stages has led to the determination of the limiting stage of a sorption process.
-
2.
In the case of dynamics limited by external diffusion, the limits of influence of longitudinal and internal diffusion have been established. The widths of these zones as functions of the sorption parameters have been determined.
-
3.
Approximate solutions have been obtained for the zones of influence of the nonlimiting stages by using the small-parameter approach.
