Conclusions
A new coumarin, C24H26O7, which has been called “andelin,” has been isolated from the roots of the white-flowered form ofAngelica decursiva <Miq.> Franch. et Savat.
On the basis of its IR, UV, and NMR spectra and the characteristics of a number of derivatives, the structure of 4′-angel oyloxy-3′-senocioyloxy-3′,4′-dihydxopyrono-5′,6′:6,7-coumarin has been proposed for andelin.
