“Wandering” valence in free radicals with four-coordinated and six-coordinated arsenic atoms

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    Radicals containing trivalent and pentavalent arsenic can be obtained from the reactions of yellow arsenic with 3,6-di-tert-butylorthoquinone and 3,5-di-tert-butylorthoquinone. The ESR spectra of these radicals have been studied.

  2. 2.

    Kinetic parameters for bond and unpaired-electron exchange in these radicals have been calculated.
