Certain transformations of 2-alkyl(aryl)-2-thiono-1,2-oxa -4-phospholene derivatives

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    2-Alkyl(aryl)-2-thiono-1,2-oxa-4-phospholenes react with alcohols and mercaptans without ring opening, forming products of addition at the double bond.

  2. 2.

    2-Alkyl(aryl)-2-thiono-1,2-oxa-4-phospholenes react with chloral with formation of 2-alkyl(aryl)-2-oxo-1,2-oxa-4-phospholenes.
