1.
The stepwise partial alkylation of B-tri-n-butylmercaptoborazole with methylmagnesium bromide gave: B-meshyl-B-di-n-butylmercaptoborazole and B-dimethyl-B-n-butylmercaptoborazole.
-
2.
The reaction of B-dimethyl-B-n-butylmercaptoborazole with ethylenediamine gave N,N'-di-(4,6-dimethylborazol-2-yl)-ethylenediamine.
-
3.
The reaction of B-tri-n-butylmercaptoborazole with tetra-n-propyldiborane, taken in a. 2∶1 ratio, gave poly-B-n-butylmercaptoborazole.
-
4.
B-Methyl-B-dichloro-N-trimethylborazole was synthesized by the chlorination of B-methyl-B-di-n-butylmercapto-N-trimethylborazole with mercuric chloride, the trans-halogenation of which gave B-methyl-B-difluoro-N-trimethylborazole.
