Summary

  1. 1.

Thioboric esters react with ketones and aldehydes with formation of boric anhydride and the corresponding thioketals or thioacetals.

  2. 2.

Dibutyl dithiobenzeneboronate reacts with acetone with formation of phenylboron oxide and acetone dibutyl thioketal.

  3. 3.

Under the action of acetone butyl diarylthioborinates are converted into the bis(diarylboron) oxide and arylboron oxide with formation of acetone dibutyl thioketal.
