Synthesis of organoantimony compounds via double diaryliodonium salts of antimony pentachloride

  • Published:
Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Summary

  1. 1.

Double diaryliodonium salts of antimony pentachloride of the type Ar2IC1· SbCl5 were prepared.

  2. 2.

A method was developed for the synthesis of diarylstibinic acids with the aid of double diaryliodonium salts of antimony pentachloride. Diarylstibinic acids containing the groups phenyl, p-tolyl, p-chlorophenyl, and p-bromophenyl were prepared by this method.
