A certain generalization of the Voigt and Maxwell models

  • Published:
Polymer Mechanics Aims and scope

Abstract

The authors propose a generalization of the Voigt and Maxwell models that allows the description of strong nonlinearity. Combined loading parameters are introduced and a method for their experimental determination is outlined. The conditions under which it is possible to employ the generalized method of elastic solutions are noted.
