Abstract
The basis of the statistical estimation of the strength of structural elements made from fibrous composites is considered; the statistical characteristics of the strength of these materials are described and the limit states are formulated. Special attention is given to the resistance to debonding. The conditions of fracture of this class of materials in plane stress are subjected to a statistical analysis.
