1.
An investigation was made of the reactions of diazoacetic ester with the branched alkenes 2,3,3-trimethyl-1-butene, 4-propyl-3-heptene, and 3-isopropyl-2,4-dimethyl-2-pentene.

2.
In the synthesis of alcohols from ethyl 2-t-butyl-2-methylcyclopropanecarboxylate and ethyl 3-ethyl-, 2,2-dipropylcyclopropanecarboxylate opening of the cyclopropane ring occurs to some extent under the action of CH3MgCl under the conditions of the Grignard reaction.
