Abstract
The accuracy of the calculation of the effect of magnetocrystalline anisotropy and of elastic stress anisotropies on the ferromagnetic resonance frequency is investigated by introducing effective demagnetization factors. Relationships are found to determine the accuracy of Macdonald's formula.
