Pressure measurement method when pressing powders

  • Published:
Soviet Powder Metallurgy and Metal Ceramics Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

The accuracy of the readings of a point dynamometer depends upon the correct setting of the projection of the measuring pin.

  2. 2.

The optimal projection of the measuring pin can be determined by formulas (3) and (4).

  3. 3.

The accuracy of the measurement is higher, the smaller the diameter of the measuring pin for a given elastic element or smaller the deformation of the elastic element at a given diameter of the measuring pin, but not to the detriment of the sensitivity of the dynamometer.
