Conclusions
-
1.
The melting point and microhardness of carbonsaturated solid solutions of titanium carbide and vanadium carbide, the composition of which corresponds to the section TiC-VC0.90, were determined.
-
2.
The temperature of the eutectic formed by solid solutions of TiC-VC0.90 with graphite was found.
-
3.
The polythermal sections TiC-V2C and TiC-V of the system Ti-V-V were constructed and the lattice constants and microhardness of phases in the alloys were determined with respect to the sections. Neither section is quasi-binary.
