Meiotic chromosomes of the human female

Summary

Chromosomal preparations were made from follicular oocytes, matured with an in vitro technique. The first meiotic metaphase revealed 23 bivalents. The chromosomes of the secondary oocyte have been counted and caryotyped.

Zusammenfassung

Follikuläre Oocyten wurden in vitro zur Reife gebracht und Chromosomenpräparationen von Kernteilungsstadien angefertigt. In der ersten meiotischen Metaphase konnten 23 Bivalente gezählt werden. Die Chromosomen der sekundären Oocyte wurden durch Aufstellung eines Karyogramms analysiert.
