Modification of lignin by phosphorylation and amination

  • Published:
Chemistry of Natural Compounds Aims and scope

Summary

On reaction with phosphorus trichloride, hydrolysis-ammoniatedlignin forms products containing phosphate ester and carbonyl chloride groups.

Lignincarbonyl chloride reacts with anabasine, 4-(piperidin-4′-yl)pyridine and 4,4′-bipiperidinyl to form the corresponding amides of phosphorylated lignins.
