Abstract
To select reliable information from the literature on the enthalpies of formation of iron, cobalt, and nickel phosphides, use has been made of linear correlation of the enthalpies of atomization for the phosphides and the enthalpies of sublimation of the phosphide-forming metals, which is implied by thermodynamic laws. Reliable values have been derived for the enthalpies of formation and atomization of iron-group metal phosphides.
