Conclusions
Special features of the method of preparing porous polymeric membranes which is based on forming microscopic pores in so-called rigidly elastic materials upon uniaxial stretching have been investigated in the case of polypropylene hollow fibers.
As a result of optimizing the temperature and rate of spinning, the temperature and duration of annealing, the degree of stretch, and the heat-setting temperature, porus fibers have been prepared which have high gas permeability.
The advantage of this method are relative simplicity, cheapness, high chemical resistance of the membranes prepared, and the possibility of varying their physicochemical properties within wide limits with minimum changes in equipment and technology due to the use of various starting polymers.
