Summary
The elimination of tri- and perchlorethylenemetabolites in the urine of 20 factory-workers in very different working conditions was investigated.
No direct correlation was found between the total of metabolites and the exposure of workers to tri- and perchlorethylene. The total of metabolites and its percentage part of trichloroacetic acid give together a useful reference to the exposure of workers. If no 24-hours-urine is available, morning and evening portions give rather good results. 6 tables.
