Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

Informoferic and informosomal RNA, but not mRNA from polysomes, contain intermolecular double-stranded structures consisting of a long-lived segment hybridized with a newly synthesized one. The possible role of these structures in gene expression is discussed.
