Abstract

The results have been discussed of studying coating based on a high-entropy alloy of the (Ti-Zr-Hf-V-Nb-Ta)N system produced by vacuum-arc deposition. The coating properties have been analyzed using scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis. It has been found that the increase of the temperature of tribological tests in air from 20 to 460°C contributes to an increase of the coating wear resistance.
