Influence of Chemical Structure on the Thermo-Sensitive Luminescent Properties of Vitrified Films Based on Anisometric Europium(III) Beta-Diketonate Complexes

  • Published:
Bulletin of the Russian Academy of Sciences: Physics Aims and scope

Abstract

Vitrified films are prepared from melt powders of three anisometric europium(III) beta-diketonate complexes. It is shown that varying the aromatic, alicyclic, and aliphatic substituents in the ligand structures strongly affects the temperature dependence of the luminescence decay time of Eu3+ ions, which determines the operational parameters of luminescent temperature probes based on these films.
