The lithological-geochemical and paleoecological characteristics of sedimentation conditions in the Crimean Mountains in the Maastrichtian

Abstract

The sedimentation conditions of Maastrichtian cyclic deposits in the Crimean Mountains were studied in detail for the first time using a complex of lithological and geochemical methods. The models of variations in temperature, salinity, and depth for the Tethys Ocean margin in the Maastrichtian were developed. Summary curves of δ18O and δ13C variations in Maastrichtian deposits of the Crimean Mountains were compiled.
