Synthesis and Structure of Oxygen-Containing Antimony Complexes (Ar2SbO)4(O2)2

Abstract

Triarylantimony Ar3Sb (Ar = 4-FC6H4, 3-MeC6H4) is oxidized by hydrogen peroxide to form tetranuclear complexes [(4-FC6H4)2SbO]4(O2)2 and [(3-MeC6H4)2SbO]4(O2)2 (as a DMSO solvate). The structure of the resulting compounds was examined by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.
