In the last decades, neuroscience research has developed into one of the leading disciplines of biomedicine and provides key insight into brain function as well as dysfunction, a basis to understand mechanisms underlying neurologic and psychiatric diseases. Launched in March 2010, e-Neuroforum is an e-only journal that aims to give an overview over the varieties of topics and developments in neuroscience. e-Neuroforum aims for a broad audience in neuroscience from molecular, cellular and developmental biology, zoology, anatomy, biochemistry, physiology, psychology, pathology, and pharmacology as well as clinical disciplines such as neurology, neurosurgery, or psychiatry. Featuring three review articles originally published in German in the German Neuroscience Society newsletter, Neuroforum , e-Neuroforum is the English language offspring to make these articles available to an international audience.
