Zusammenfassung
Sechs Patienten mit chronischer Lymphadenose (CLL) wurde Antihumanlymphocytenserum (AHLS) vom Pferd 12–18 Tage intravenös verabreicht. Es traten weder allgemeine Unverträglichkeitserscheinungen auf, noch wurden Nebenwirkungen auf Leber und Niere beobachtet. Es zeigte sich 30 min nach Applikation von AHLS eine signifikant stärkere Wirkung auf Lymphocyten im Vergleich zu Granulocyten. Im Verlauf von 12–18 Tagen nahmen die peripheren Lymphocytenzahlen in 3 von 5 Fällen bis zu 41,5% des Ausgangswertes ab. Die Wirkung des AHLS auf die Lymphocyten haben wir diskutiert. Eine Langzeitbehandlung der chronischen Lymphadenose crscheint sinnvoll.
Summary
Horse antihuman antilymphoid serum (AHLS) was given intravenously to 6 patients with chronic lymphatic leukemia (CLL) for 12 to 18 days. The patients had no detectable reaction of any kind. Thirty minutes after application the leucopenic effect on lymphocytes was significantly higher than on granulocytes. Over a period of 12 to 18 days the peripheral lymphocytes decreased to 41.5 per cent of the initial value in 3 from 5 cases. The mechanism of AHLS is discussed. A treatment of CLL with AHLS over a long period of time seems to be effective.
