Abstract
New daily persistent headache (NDPH) is explored in depth. Precipitating events for NDPH are examined. The pathophysiology of NDPH is touched upon. Treatment options for NDPH are part of the dialogue. A review of the interaction between the immune system and headache is presented. The immune system plays a major role in the pathophysiology of headache. A patient handout on practical tips for weight loss and exercise in headache patients is presented. Supplements and vitamins for general health are analyzed, with a convenient handout for patients. The topic of chaos (nonlinear dynamics) in migraine is unveiled. Chaos theory may have practical applications for headache treatment.
