Abstract
Human γ - globulin and creatinine were treated with chrysotile and crocidolite fibres with and without thermal pretreatment at 400 ° C and 600 ° C and proteins -asbestos interactions have been studied. In these interactions asbestos OH, Mg octahedra, Si-0 groups and a series of protein polar groups have been involved. The proteins’ absorption capacity on asbestos is discussed in relation with asbestos thermal pretreatment and electric charge of asbestos and proteins.
