Zusammenfassung
Als Überschlag (Rollover) wird jede Fahrzeugrotation um die Längs- oder Querachse bezeichnet, bei der ein Rotationswinkel von 90 Grad oder mehr erreicht wird. Die Rotationsbewegung des Fahrzeugs führt insbesondere bei nicht angegurteten Insassen zu einer wesentlichen Relativbewegung der Insassen zum Fahrzeug, was bis zum Herausschleudern (Ejection) der Insassen aus dem Fahrzeug führen kann. Eine Untersuchung der ursprünglichen Insassenpositionen ist vielfach nur dann möglich, wenn die Fahrzeugbewegung rekonstruiert werden kann.
