Zusammenfassung

Wegen der vielfältigen GERD-Symptomatik erscheint es sinnvoll, die Patienten folgenden Gruppen zuzuordnen: »klassische« GERD, therapierefraktäre GERD-Beschwerden, sekundäre Refluxbeschwerden und extraösophageale GERD-Beschwerden. Die Chirurgie der gastroösophagealen Refluxkrankheit ist »rein« rekonstruktiv und besteht aus zwei Schritten: Beseitigung der Hiatushernie durch eine Hiatoplastik und Bildung einer Fundoplikationsmanschette.
