Zusammenfassung
Die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit von Krankenhäusern ist wie bei Dienstleistungsunternehmen generell von der Fähigkeit ihre Produktivität zu steigern determiniert. Durch Produkt und insbesondere auch Prozessinnovationen können Qualität und Effizienz von Krankenhausdienstleistungen kontinuierlich optimiert werden. Dies gilt insbesondere in Zeiten sich verändernder regulativer Bedingungen, technischer Möglichkeiten sowie einer sich dynamisch entwickelnden Wettbewerbssituation. Grundlage von Produktivitätssteigerungen ist dabei die Fähigkeit, die Produktivität sowie das Innovationsgeschehen messbar zu machen. Ferner ist es von zentraler praktischer Bedeutung, die relevanten strategischen und operativen Einflussfaktoren auf die Innovationsleistung und die Produktivität zu kennen. Daher war es Ziel des gemeinsamen Verbundvorhabens „Produktivität²“ Produktivitäts- und Innovationsaspekte ganzheitlich zu betrachten sowie durch geeignete Messansätze und Managementempfehlungen zu unterstützen.
