Zusammenfassung

Zu Beginn dieses Jahrhunderts wiesen Tyzzer und Loeb nach, daß Tumoren eines Mausstammes normal anwachsen, wenn sie auf Mäuse des gleichen Inzuchtstammes (syngen, s. Tabelle 11.1) transplantiert wurden (z. B. A/A), jedoch von Mäusen eines anderen Inzuchtstammes (allogen, z. B. B/B), abgestoßen wurden. Durch Kreuzungsexperimente konnte nachgewiesen werden, daß die Empfänglichkeit für das Anwachsen eines Tumors genetisch kontrolliert wurde: So nahmen alle F1-Tiere der Kreuzung A/A X B/B Tumoren beider Elternstämme an. Auf Grund der Verteilung der Suszeptibilität für parentale Tumoren in der F2-Generation konnten Little und Tyzzer 1916 berechnen, daß bei der Maus mindestens 15 Gene für die Abstoßung parentaler Tumoren verantwortlich waren, da in nur 1,6% der F2-Tiere Tumoren anwuchsen.
