Zusammenfassung

Frühkindliche Fütterstörungen mit Problemen bei der Umstellung der Ernährung in den ersten Lebensmonaten, mit kindlicher Nahrungsverweigerung, mangelnder Akzeptanz neuer Geschmacksrichtungen, Nahrungskonsistenzen und -texturen und mit mangelndem Gedeihen führen die besorgten Eltern schnell zum Kinderarzt als dem ersten Ansprechpartner. Für die Wahrnehmung der Eltern steht das kindliche Überleben auf dem Spiel. Entsprechend zeigen sich die Eltern emotional meist hoch belastet. Die Forschung bestätigt Beeinträchtigungen der kindlichen Entwicklung und der Eltern-Kind-Beziehung bei Fortbestand der Fütterproblematik. Dieser Artikel ermöglicht einen Einblick in Diagnostik, Beratung und Therapie und möchte einen Beitrag dazu leisten, dass Fütterstörungen frühzeitig erkannt werden können und Kind und Eltern fachkundige Hilfe erfahren.
