Zusammenfassung
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) sind fester Bestandteil moderner Volkswirtschaften geworden. Auch nach dem Abflauen des Übernahmebooms im Fahrwasser des Internet-Hypes ist die Übernahmeaktivität insbesondere im Mittelstand weiterhin rege. Aktuell deuten erste Anzeichen außerdem darauf hin, dass ebenfalls die multinationalen (Groß-) Unternehmungen wieder aktiv am M&A-Markt mitmischen werden (vgl. Giersberg, 2003). Der Optimismus oder zumindest die Hoffnung auf eine sich belebende Weltkonjunktur lassen die zumeist erheblichen Investitionen in Akquisitionsobjekte wieder attraktiv erscheinen.
