Zusammenfassung
Unser Umgang mit Computern - was wir mit ihnen machen und wie wir über sie denken - hat sich in den vergangenen Jahren drastisch verändert Wir behandeln sie heute nicht mehr so sehr als Maschinen, die auf unsere „Befehle“ hin „Daten verarbeiten“, sondern zunehmend als Medien der Interaktion mit anderen Menschen. Millionen von Menschen kommunizieren über Computernetze, um ihr Wissen zu erweitern oder anderen zur Verfügung zu stellen, Gespräche zu führen und Ideen und Gefühle mitzuteilen. Computer sind ein „neues Medium“ in zweierlei Hinsicht.
