Abstract

The oral cavity, including the maxilla and mandible, are potential sites for numerous pathologies in the pediatric age group. Some of the pathologies are common and some are rarely encountered. A proper workup is required to determine the accurate diagnosis and to plan the appropriate management, often by a multidisciplinary team. This chapter delineates a variety of conditions in the oral cavity, maxilla, and mandible to help the clinician recognize the differential diagnosis and to achieve the best possible treatment for our patients.
